Catherine K.

Originally from San Antonio, Catherine began dance training at a young age and later earned her BFA in Ballet from TCU. She discovered Smart Barre during her time at TCU and quickly fell in love with the combination of strength, flexibility, and music-driven choreography! She then joined the instructor team in 2013.

Catherine and her husband, Jake, welcomed their son Carter in 2024. She also enjoys teaching ballet and is involved in the local dance community.

Elaine T.

Elaine T.

Originally from Chicago, Elaine discovered Smart Barre in 2013 while seeking a way to complement her marathon training. She quickly became a barre enthusiast and has been devoted ever since. That same year, she became an instructor and has since developed a playful complaint about the chair exercise. When it feels like the workout might be too much, she imagines herself sitting on a luxurious chaise lounge filled with clouds instead. How can such a simple movement engage the entire body? It truly makes you shake from your calves to your upper back and biceps!

Elaine is also the proud mother of two daughters, Cadence and Stella, and two untrainable dachshund sisters, Paris and Rory.

FAVORITE SMART BARRE EXERCISE

Wide second! Being a former ballet dancer, my body always favors positions with external rotation of the hips (turn out). I love how wide second targets the quads, inner thighs and hamstrings. Adding in a quick cardio blast to drive the heart rate up is the icing on the cake.

FAVORITE SMART BARRE CUE

“Open your feet into Smart V, like a slice of pizza or pie”.. because I believe there’s nothing wrong with enjoying good food in moderation.

Katie M.

Katie McDonald has been a fitness instructor since 2018 and joined the SmartBarre team in 2023. She has a deep passion for living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys sharing that passion with her clients. Outside the studio, Katie cooks healthy food, plays tennis, coaches cheerleading and spends time with her family.

Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance

Favorite Smart Barre Exercise

Clamshell with the band! I love that glute burn.

Kelley N.

Kelley is a Fort Worth, Texas native and has been a fan of Smart Barre since she first discovered their barre workout in 2013.  She fell in love with the ballet inspired moves and uplifting community of women- both elements leaving her physically and mentally stronger.  Kelley holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Elon University, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer, and is a Barre, HIIT, and Cardio Certified instructor through Exhale in NYC.  Her favorite Smart Barre move is tabletop glutes- so many variations and such a good burn!  She can’t wait to empower you to accomplish your goals while making sure to have some fun!

Lizzy C.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Lizzy has been around a ballet barre since she began dancing at age two. After studying classical ballet throughout her childhood, she found Smart Barre as a client in 2013 and became an instructor just one year later. The blend of ballet, Pilates, and stretching gave her the confidence and body awareness she had craved from her early dance classes. Since she began teaching barre in 2014, Lizzy has also completed the BASI Comprehensive Pilates program to become a certified instructor. She enjoys the flexibility and crossover that both exercises offer.
Lizzy and her husband, Philip, have one son and one dog they love spending time with, either traveling or at home. She thoroughly enjoys the camaraderie that Smart Barre offers, the uniqueness of each class, and the encouraging environment from clients and instructors alike.

Macy C.

Macy, a Fort Worth native, discovered Smart Barre over a decade ago. Beginning at the front desk, she quickly developed a passion for the transformative workout and supportive community of empowered women. After earning degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma, she returned to Fort Worth to pursue a purpose-driven career. Her love for barre led her back to the studio, where she continues to assist with front desk operations and, as of December 2023, has taken on the role of instructor. Beyond barre, Macy finds joy in home organization, health, reading, and fostering meaningful connections.

Marlee B.

Marlee has been attending Smart Barre classes since 2012. She loves that it doesn’t matter how long you’ve attended; you can always push yourself for a challenging workout. She credits Smart Barre for staying healthy during her two pregnancies and having energy as a mom. She has two little boys and one fuzzy “daughter” (a Maltipoo). Outside the studio, you’ll find her behind the chair at her salon, Marlee Waller Hairdressing, or out on date night with her husband, who married in 2014.

Randi G.

Randi was born and raised in Fort Worth and is a proud TCU alumna. She is married with two sweet little boys. Randi loves spending time with her family and friends, staying active, and spending time in the mountains. She has been a part of the Smart Barre family since 2019 and loved it from the moment she first stepped foot in the studio. Her favorite sections of the class are arms and glutes. She genuinely loves caring for everyone who walks through the studio doors and helping them work towards their goals.

Traci J.

Traci J. is a Ft. Worth native and TCU graduate with a degree in RTVF-Production and minors in Journalism and Religion. She has been happily married to Chad since 2002. They are blessed with a wonderful son, Ty, and two lovely daughters, Blake and Finley. Traci is the Director of Talent Acquisition for the company her husband started and runs called Blueprint Consulting Group. She has been taking and teaching Smart Barre for over a decade and says it is by far the best exercise she has ever done and will continue until she can’t put one foot in front of the other!

Victoria H.

Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Victoria fell in love with movement early in life when her parents signed her up for her first dance class. After dancing competitively throughout high school, she went to TCU and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet with a minor in Communication Studies. After college, Victoria went through the Stott Pilates training program and became a fully certified Stott Pilates Trainer in 2017.

Victoria started teaching at SmartBarre in 2014. SmartBarre allowed her to discover her passion for helping people to achieve happiness and health through movement. She is grateful for the community SmartBarre has given her through so many different phases of life.

Victoria is married to husband, Blair. They welcomed their son, Russell, in 2024. When she’s not teaching barre or pilates, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and enjoying all Fort Worth has to offer.
