The Smart Barre Technique is a fun, effective workout that will not waste your time. Focusing on proper postural alignment, isometric movements are used to fatigue muscle groups where women tend to struggle most- the arms, thighs, seat, and abdominals. Stretching is the ‘smart‘ ingredient to achieving the long, lean look of a dancer, and is added intermittently throughout the class. Our dynamic instructors enhance your experience with their strong backgrounds in either dance, Pilates, and fitness. Their expertise keep classes interesting, and clients challenged and motivated. In just 10 consistent classes, you will notice a change!
When You Arrive
Upon your arrival to a Smart Barre studio, you will check in at the front desk. Though we do welcome walk ins, online registration for classes is required. To maximize your experience, we limit the class size, so please know that if you are a walk in, the class might already be full upon your arrival. Please refer to the Q&A page for more information on studio policies and waiting lists.
Lockers, towels, and a changing area are provided. No purses, cell phones, chewing gum, flavored sports drinks or food are allowed in the studio. Bottled water is available for purchase at the front desk.
All equipment and Ecowise mats (latex, PVD, chloride free) are provided. Mats are cleaned after each use.
Socks are required in Smart Barre classes. Not only for sanitary reasons, but to assist in the ease of some of our exercises. Non-slip exercise socks are recommended, but not required, and are available for purchase at the front desk.
Workout pants or capris, a tank top or t-shirt are recommended attire. Please no middrift exposing tops.
